Hi All,

Ok here's the scoop. After reading many of these posts, admiring many pics, and looking at my own ride mixed in with severe spring fever, I have decided that I would like to make my bike look more unique. So bitten by the customizing bug I would like to start with something "simple" such as new mirrors, signals, handle bars, seat and forward controls. After paying entirely too much to have a Supertrapp installed (which I now know I could have done myself since I had to replace and install the original defective one...) I want to try to do all this myself. So please tell me if this is possible. I am NO mechanic! I do my own general maintenance on the bike (oil, filters, etc) and can certainly follow directions despite what my other half says! :-) So can someone please let me know if I am taking on too much for an amateur, and any tips/tricks you may have would be great. I have been looking heavily at the Highway Hawk brand accessories...good choice or no? Btw, why are the Hawk forward controls so much more expensive for the Savage than some of the other bikes? Please help!

Desperately seeking mechanic! :-)
